Roll-Over is the park's wildest spinning ride, perhaps the best attraction in Divo Ostrov too. It is situated right next to the park's entrance, so it's a real attention grabber and crowds often gather around it just to spectate.
The whole attraction was manufactured by Mondial from The Netherlands. I really liked its movement pattern, it was kinda like a Breakdance which does loops every now and then, sometimes makes smooth controlled maneuvers, but most of the time is just totally out of control. You'll get thrown around a lot on board, but that doesn't matter because the head won't hit the restraints as in many other similiar attractions, like Huss's Booster.
When I was there they were mostly playing Drum & Bass, which suits ride like this really well. Along with all the kitsch decorations, pumping music and the ride operator trying to make the crowd's shout for more, this ride reminded a lot of the German or Dutch fairground attractions and I started to wonder, how the hell this ended up in St. Petersburg! You'd never see similiar stuff in Finland or Central European theme parks, but apparently St. Petersburg knows how to operate their flatrides to the maximum.
The original owner of Roll Over was showman Boesweld from The Netherlands. The attraction was built in 1992, see rideindex.de for a photo from 1997 with different paintings.
