Fårup Sommerland

Fårup Sommerland is a family park in Northern Jutland. It is definitely among the largest Summerland-style family parks in the Nordic Countries. The summerlands usually contain water parks, mini golf, trampolines and "tarzan" courses targeted to the children. In 2003 Fårup Sommerland had a total of 495.829 visitors.
Founded in 1975 as a unique summerland concept at the time, it could've actually been the first summerland in Denmark. Fårup started out with having just trampolines, horse riding and so on. In 1983 they constructed their biggest attraction at the time - a large water slide. During the years 1989 and 1990 they built the aquapark with its big waterslides. In 1991 Fårup bought their first big amusement ride, a log flume and next year the Vekoma family coaster Mine Ekspressen. Today Fårup Sommerland is a diverse park with lots of fun for the children and a few good amusement rides too.
New for the 2006 season will be a 4D-cinema.
