The powered coaster City Express was the first steel coaster in Linnanmäki when it opened in 1990. The coaster has a single long train that is powered by a motor in the front. The track also doesn't have a lift hill, so some even don't count City Express as a true rollercoaster.
The layout begins with a small hill leading into a 360° helix. After that there's a 270° turn to the right and a then long straight hill. The layout ends with a fast helix and then the train returns to the station. The course is repeated as many times as the ride operator wants to, but usually it runs for three or so laps.
City Express is now actually known as Pikajuna, as Linnanmäki translated their rides' names to Finnish in 2004. Pikajuna means Express Train.
