The Schwarzkopf-made Polyp is much more fun to ride than it would seem to the outside. Many instant jumps up and down while spinning around the Polyp's arms make this one of Linnanmäki's best rides at least in my opinion.

When Linnanmäki's Breakdance was removed after the 2001 season and the coffee cups were built to Polyp's old spot the next year, Polyp was moved to the spot Breakdance left empty near the main gate of Linnanmäki.

Polyp had its lights redone when the name was changed to Mustekala in 2004. Mustekala is Finnish for Octopus.
