History:

Liseberg opened 1923 when Göteborg had their late 300 year jubilee. Bergbanan was the main attraction. Since 1925 Liseberg is owned by the city of Göteborg. Liseberg is probably most known for three of their coasters. 1987 was the opening year for Lisebergbanan. Two of Lisebergbanans first passengers was Anton Schwarzkopf and Josef Zierer. 1990 Spaceport Liseberg was opened at the Lise-mountain. 1993 the IAAPA Summer Meeting was held at Liseberg. For the 1997 season Liseberg has invested 200 million SEK in the park. For 2003 Liseberg opened Balder, which was voted the "Best Wooden Coaster in the World" the same year. LisebergsLoopen, Lisebergbanan, HangOver and Balder is some of the most popular rides that ever have been operating at the park.
