The new attraction for 2005 was Trombi - the infamous Volare flying coaster from Zamperla.
The ride is certainly on the rougher side and very far from a family coaster, but it's also very unique and fun in many ways. The best feature is the safety system with no restraints at all, just a big metal cage raised to your back. You'll get thrown violently around a lot, but that's just a good feature in my opinion. It's a great rollercoaster, despite the stuff that those US pussy enthusiasts say. ;) Certainly the most thrilling you can get with that height and footprint.
The ride cost 4,3 million euros to build, though the money going to Italy was only about 2,5 million €.
Here you'll find many pics of Trombi's construction: (link
