Mondial is a Dutch manufacturer specialized in large thrill rides. They have developed many of the best rides found from European funfairs and amusement parks, such as Top Scan, Shake and Airwolf.

Company History, from official website Mondial was founded in 1987 in the Netherlands as a manufacturer for the amusement industry. The impressive success story really accelerated after Mondial decided to its strategy and started with the design and construction of their own Mondial Giant Wheels, and later on also their famous in-house designed Flat and High Thrill Rides. All the Mondial products are always designed and built meeting the highest quality standards and according to the DIN and TUV specifications. Together with our skilled and highly motivated people working in the design department and production facilities, Mondial became one of the specialist and major players in the highly competitive amusement industry. In a short period of time, Mondial has developed a wide range of rides that can be seen in many of the prestigious Theme Parks and Carnivals throughout the world. In 1989 Mondial launched its transportable Giant Wheel "MCS" (Mondial Compact System) an innovation that substantially improved erection and dismantling time. The latest model of this MCS type is a 50 meters high Ferris Wheel with closed gondolas on 5+3 trailers. Another success story was the aptly named Sky Flyer, which Mondial invented; this new ride caused an enormous chain reaction in the industry. Many other manufactures made their own versions of this attraction. The successor to this ride, the Tornado, is still in production and can be seen in the product overview on this homepage. Later on, Mondial introduced to the market its Shake, Roll Over, Inferno, Top Scan, Swinger, Splash Over, Revolution, Capriolo and Ultra Max. Rollover
Rollover is a wilder and looping version of the common Supernova-ride. The looping is made possible with locking of the car's position, as in a Huss Top Spin.

This amusement ride achieves a sensational combination of ride effects. The Rollover gives you a sensational ride feeling, it makes pendulum-, swinging around- and vertical circular movements, it can even perform loopings, several times after each other, giving you the feeling of weightlessness On the other hand it is also possible, thanks to a built in braking system in the rigid arm, to bring it to an upside down position, also enabling to perform a looping, no matter in which position, even in a slanting one. The arms of the "rollover" can turn independently of each other clockwise, counter-clockwise or parallel. The design of the ride makes almost all kinds of theming possible.
Shake
Mondial's Shake takes the concept of a Breakdance and adds a little twist to it. The individual cars area allowed to freely rotate upside-down as well as sideways, which adds a whole multitude of new movement dimensions. The passengers will in some phases move around smoothly leaning a bit forwards, in others do series of insane sommersaults and a great ride is guaranteed.

This breathtaking round ride is an attractive eyecatcher for fairs and amusement parks. The rotations of the large platform are variable. There are five cross arms on the platform which rotate contrawise to the platform. Four gondolas are suspended from each cross arm. The mode of suspension is such as to allow the gondolas to rotate independently of each other, swing freely and even enbles them to make a 360 degrees loop depending on speed and rotation. The Shake is available as a park- or as a portable ride built on a trailer. Special backwalls and even a roof are also available.
Supernova
Supernova is a family ride for thrillseekers of all ages. The car rocks depending of the two arms, which are controlled manually by the ride operator. The best places to sit are at the ends of the vehicle.

The Supernova is especially designed as a family ride, sensational but smooth enough for the children, smooth but sensational enough for the parents. The ride can be operated by 2 joy sticks this makes every trip unique and enables the operator to adjust the level of sensation to the age of the passengers he has on board. The Super Nova is a ride for people aged 8 to 80.
Top Scan
Top Scan is the ride Mondial has become known of in the industry. It's giant arm is first lifted in the air and then the six long gondolas start spinning and doing upside-down sommersaults.

The Topscan is a really magnificent attraction, which offers a a smooth and thrilling experience. The multitude of movements makes it a winner as well on fairgrounds as in amusement parks. The hydraulic drive enables the main cross arm to make an oval arc in both directions left and right. At the end of this cross arm are the unique rotating gondolas which are fitted with the safest shoulder and lap restraints. The gondolas are allowed to rotate freely using centrifugal force, they also can perform a 360 degree loop. As the riders' legs are free the sensation of flying and performing loops is enhanced.
