Zamperla
The Italian Zamperla is propably the largest ride manufacturer at the moment with international offices around the globe. They mostly focus on family rides, but have expanded their product line by absorbing many other amusement ride companies. They have the rights to the former Soriani & Mosers's and S.D.C's rides, as well as to some of Reverchon spinning rollercoaster designs.
A very big hit by them has been the Rockin' Tug family ride, which's concept has been used to create the more intense attraction Disk'o found from BonBon-Land and Tykkimäki.
Discovery
Discovery is yet another clone of the succesful Frisbee/Afterburner. It can swing into an impressive 115degree angle, that really gets you confused about the direction of movement. Liseberg has a 24-seat model with "mobile" seating style.

This pendulum ride treats riders to the thrill of their lives. Suspended from an overhead axis, Discovery riders will soon experience the rush of land and sky meshing into one as they fly head over heals through the dual swinging and spinning motions. After dark, the thrills become illuminated by a dynamic light package- sure to keep people coming back for more. Zamperla's line of Discovery rides come in a variety of models ranging from 20-40 capacity per cycle. The 20 seat model comes in both a park or trailer model, while the 20, 24, 30, and 40 capacity models are available as a park model.
Disk'O
Disk'o could be described as a mixture of the Half Pipe rollercoaster and the Rockin' Tug. Riders are spinning back and forth on a quarter pipe, which is smaller than in Intamin's Half Pipe. Disk'o has a new restraint system with the safety bar being pushed to your back. The speed of the ride is surprisingly high, so if you haven't yet seen it live, I'd suggest to check out the video clip.
Known Disk'O installations:
| Name | Country | Park | Year | Ride Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alba-Tossen | Denmark | BonBon-Land | 2004 | Thrill ride |
| Trombi | Finland | Tykkimäki | 2005 | Thrill ride |
New for 2004! Rocking and rolling onto a midway near you, the new Disco from Zamperla combines a breathtaking dual rocking/spinning motion with a new, patent pending seating style. The new Disk’O seat is unlike anything in the industry, as it positions riders on a motorcycle-like pedestal seat facing outward. This new style seat will maximize the visual impact for the 24 riders as they experience the rush of the Disk’O. Available in both park and trailer models, Disk’O is the ideal addition to any park or carnival's thrill ride roster.
Dragon Coaster
The Dragon Coaster is a small motor-powered rollercoaster by Zamperla. The Finnish fair Suomen Tivoli used to have a mobile one of these.

Polyp
The Polyp model with the "italian type" of gondolas was originally in fact designed by Kaspar Klaus from Germany, and soon after the Dutch J. Bakker Denies copied it and developed the ride for mobile operation. Later many other firms have made their own versions too. Most of the attractions listed here have likely come from the factories of the Italian Soriani & Moser however. After the company was divided in 1998, the rights for the model moved to Zamperla. This Polyp is a little tamer than Schwarzkopf's Monster III, but still always a nice ride.
Known Polyp installations:
| Name | Country | Park | Year | Ride Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mustekala | Finland | Wasalandia | Thrill ride | |
| Piovra | Finland | Powerpark | 2004 | Thrill ride |
| Polyp | Russia | Park Alisa | Thrill ride | |
| Blekkspruten | Norway | Tusenfryd | 1990 | Thrill ride |
| Bläckfisken | Sweden | Ölands Djurpark | Thrill ride |
Get Captured by the Polyp’s Tentacles Zamperla’s family of Polyp rides are ideal, high capacity, family rides that make perfect focal points for any themed section. Riders rise, fall, and whirl to their heart’s content on the tentacles of an octopus, or in a giant sized sombrero. As is true with all Zamperla attractions, we offer custom theming to make this attraction fit perfectly into any park setting.
| Capacity: | 600 persons/h |

Power Surge
Huss' version is fairly similiar to the Schwarzkopf's famous ride. They apparently use gondolas with six adjacent lights in the front, as in Schwarzkopf's Enterprise I and II-models.

Sombrero
The Sombrero was developed by Soriani & Moser, but it is nowadays sold by Zamperla. It's a gentle family ride which still has some of the majorness of the larger spinning rides.
Known Sombrero installations:
| Name | Country | Park | Year | Ride Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flamenco | Russia | Divo Ostrov | 2003 | Thrill ride |
Volare
Volare is a compact Flying Coaster, with two Inline-Twists and many 180 deg curves. The trains only seat 4 persons each.

| Trombi | Finland | Särkänniemi | 2005 | Rollercoaster, looping |
Wind Shear
Wind Shear is Zamperla's answer to Modial's Rollover, a Top Spin style ride where the arms can be moved seperately. The whole construction is very high off the ground and the ride is great to watch from the outside. The position of the car can be locked like in Top Spin, so the passengers are dragged upside-down a lot. The biggest negative point is the uncomfortable restraint system, where your whole weight is concentrated on the upper thighs when the car is upside-down, which kind of kills the experience.
