Zierer
The German company Zierer is Scandinavia's favourite rollercoaster manufacturer with 9 stationary coasters included on this page. Pinfari is just a few installations behind. Among Zierer's most impressive work ever are the two Bavarian Mountain coasters designed by Anton Schwarzkopf. Zierer ahas two different prototype rides in Tivoli, Denmark. These are the new suspended flying carpet ride Monsun and the over 30 years old Tivoli family coaster named after the park.

Bavarian Mountain
The Bavarian Mountain coasters were partly designed by Anton Schwarzkopf and were some of his last designs ever. The manufacturing was mostly done by BHS (Schwarzkopf's old steel supplier), and Zierer sold the rides. Gerstlauer also had its part in building these coasters with installation of electronic systems. What should be noted from the tech specs is the insanely large capacity of these coasters. With a maximum of five trains and a long track Lisebergbanan is a rollercoaster with one of the best hourly capacities in the world! Just four of these coasters were opened - two in Sweden and two in Japan, the other Japanese one now being moved to St. Petersburg. There was a larger model being planned for the British Alton Towers, but the project got cancelled. This makes the Swedish coasters very unique in the world. Zierer has the Bavarian Mountain still in their product catalog however, so it could be just possible to see a new one of these someday.

The indoor themed rollercoaster Space Mountain in Linnanmäki is also classed as a family coaster, but was customly designed by Werner Stengel, who designed it to resemble larger roller coasters.

It rotates in both directions.
